DIS works with a broad range of local schools, primarily our focus is working with special needs schools, but we have the aim of expanding our remit to include all schools.
Local schools can access our projects in several ways:
Placement days – Schools can book in sessions to work with our team at our Centre. There is a broad range of projects to get involved in as well as us being able to create a brand new project to complete together. Alternatively, we could send an artist to visit your school to work on a project that you need finished.
Work Experience – We have had several schools work alongside us on their 2-week work experience programme. During this time, we will start a new project and bring it to a conclusion with a team of students. We have seen enormous success come from these projects and would be keen to expand it to include other schools.
